With the Registro Touring between Crema and Cremona
Weekend in Cremona and its surroundings for the Registro Touring Superleggera. The common thread, the musical and gastronomic tradition that gives prestige to the “city of the torrazzo”.
After the meeting on Friday in the central Piazza Marconi, we visited the School of Violin Making and the Museo del Violino, an essential destination for its collection of very rare Stradivari.
On Saturday we moved between Soncino, with its beautiful fortress and the Printing Museum, and Soresina, for a visit to the Collection of bicycles and velocipedes of Alfredo Azzini, a member of the Registro. Gourmet dinner at the famous Cavallino Bianco restaurant in Polesine Parmense, home of the prized culatello.
Castelleone welcomed us on Sunday for the guided tour of the Gorini Brothers’ Collection of vintage trucks. In Crema we then visited the Museum of Organ Art, with a private organ audition. After a typical lunch we left for our respective residences; once again my trusty Aston Martin DB6 Superleggera proved to be reliable and very comfortable.
The organization was always excellent, entrusted to the president of the Registry, Franco Bruno Ronchi, assisted by Alessandra Giorgetti.
