THE TOURING INTERNATIONAL REGISTER SUPERLEGGERA IN AREZZO

Passionate about the Touring project, I have been a member of the Touring Superleggera International Registry for many years, starting immediately to take part in meetings organized by the very active president Franco Ronchi, the enthusiastic brothers Giovanni and Alberto Bianchi Anderloni and the irreplaceable secretary Alessandra Giorgetti.

At each meeting, the Registry introduces us to unusual corners of Italy and the world, reserving registration for a limited number of vehicles to better coordinate the itineraries.

In the traditional spring gathering, here the agenda, thirty precious Superleggeras have reached the beautiful Arezzo and then moved into the Casentino area, in the lands of Michelangelo Buonarroti, passing by the lovely village of Anghieri.

As usual, there have been many visits to precious car collections, specifically the Fantini Collection with its extraordinary Abarth cars, companies symbolizing the territory (the Unoaerre and its Museum of Gold), to producers of typical food and wine and to treasure chests that preserve masterpieces of Medieval and Renaissance art. Among the many beauties enjoyed by our senses in the three days of Arezzo, the most remarkable was the Madonna del Parto by Piero della Francesca, in Monterchi.

A praise to the organizers for the choice of places and the excellent tourist guides, who have pleasantly illustrated art and local traditions telling us incredible stories, such as that of Evangelista Martini called the Anghiarina.
