Dear friends and clients,
This year too, I’ll be at the start line of the Coppa Garisenda 2026 with my 1956 Jaguar XK 140 Coupé!
The 7th edition takes place on 17 and 18 October and pays special tribute to the Motor Valley of Emilia-Romagna: Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Pagani, Dallara, De Tomaso, Stanguellini, OSCA, Abarth, Bizzarrini, Cizeta and many more.
The program at a glance
Saturday, 17 October. We start from Palazzo De’ Rossi in Pontecchio Marconi, with a guided visit of the historic residence. Then come the first optional regularity tests (free timing) along the Reno river, and the Bolognese hills, with stops at historic villas:
- Villa dei Marchesi Scarani, with a tasting of Olio di Bologna
- Villa Benni, with its ancient park and its historic underground air-raid shelter, where lunch will also be served
- the climb to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di San Luca, along the longest portico in the world, a UNESCO World Heritage Site
- Villa Griffone, home of Guglielmo Marconi, with its museum and mausoleum
- the final tests at the “Orione” Army Aviation barracks, followed by an aperitif in a place normally closed to the public
The day ends at the FlyOn Hotel with the traditional Gala Dinner.
Sunday, 18 October. Final regularity tests, then the grand finale in the heart of Bologna: the cars will parade to Piazza San Domenico, where they will be displayed to the public, followed by a guided walk through the lesser-known corners of the historic center.
All cars of historic interest built up to 2006 are eligible, plus a selection of Motor Valley marques with no year limit.
I’m delighted to see my Bolognese friends again and to share with them the beauty of the area and the delights of the local cuisine, in a weekend that, as always, promises to be full of new experiences to remember.
