ABOUT

Jaguar XK150 3.4 Drop Head Coupé – 1960

Rare automatic version – Original interior – Preserved, never restored – ASI Certified

First registered in the United Kingdom in 1960, this elegant Jaguar XK150 Drop Head Coupé (DHC) was imported to Italy in 1975, when it was just 15 years old—not yet considered a classic car. Initially registered in Milan, it was later re-registered in Alessandria following a change of ownership, and it still retains its original black Italian license plates, an important trace of its long-standing Italian provenance.

Documented history and preserved originality

Unlike many other classic Jaguars, this XK150 has never undergone a full restoration, simply because it never required one. Its overall condition has always been maintained with great care, allowing it to remain roadworthy for over six decades, passing inspections and evolving regulations without major interventions.

Over the years, maintenance work has been regularly carried out to preserve the car’s integrity and roadworthiness.

Recent work (since 2019)

The current owner, who acquired the vehicle in 2019, has completed the following key maintenance tasks:

  • Installation of a stainless-steel exhaust system
  • Replacement of four new Michelin tires
  • Replacement of the fuel tank
  • General mechanical servicing
  • Refurbishment of the convertible roof lining in original wool

The vehicle still retains its original interior, including seats, door panels, and dashboard; only the carpets have been replaced, in keeping with Jaguar’s original specifications.

In 2019, it was awarded the ASI Historical and Collectible Certificate (CRS), confirming its authenticity and collectible value.

Today, the car is road legal, insured, and fully operational.
