Model History and Significance
This magnificent 1964 Austin-Healey 3000 MkIII Phase 1 belongs to the very first series of the third generation of the legendary “Big Healeys”.
The MkIII is widely regarded as the most refined, powerful, comfortable and desirable version of the entire Austin-Healey production.
Produced between 1963 and 1967 in approximately 17,700 units (Phase 1 and Phase 2 combined), the Phase 1 models are especially appreciated for combining classic styling purity with improved comfort and mechanical upgrades.
Powered by a 3.0-liter inline six-cylinder engine delivering 150 hp, paired with a 4-speed gearbox with overdrive (engageable in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gear), the car reaches a top speed of approximately 194 km/h.
Fully functional and in excellent mechanical and cosmetic condition, it is extremely reliable and perfectly suited for long-distance touring and international classic rallies.
Four brand-new Michelin XZX Classic tires have just been fitted, manufactured to original specifications but with modern compounds, enhancing safety while maintaining historical authenticity.
