4th COPPA ROTARY ABRUZZO
PROGRAM
SATURDAY 17 September 2011
10am – 12pm Reception of participants at the Hotel “S” (Chieti exit, A14 motorway, continuation of the Asse Attrezzato towards Pescara, Dragonara exit), hotel accommodation and storage of any trolleys
12.30pm Welcome buffet
1.30pm Departure for San Vito Chietino, visit to the D’Annunzio Hermitage and the rock on which D’Annunzio set the tragedy “The Triumph of Death”. Declamation of some passages from the opera.
4:00 pm Transfer from San Vito Chietino to Chieti, car exhibition in the Villa Comunale and regularity race: Return to the hotel
8:30 pm Gala evening in the Hotel “S” restaurant and charity lottery with the proceeds going to the Rotary project “Polio Plus Now”
SUNDAY 18 September 2011
9:00 am Departure for Pescara/Loreto Aprutino with a short stop in Sambuceto (a hamlet of San Giovanni Teatino) to visit the “Emanuele Ricci” Automobile Museum
11:00 am Arrival in Loreto Aprutino and visit to the Museum of Ceramics and Olive Oil
1:30 pm Lunch in the “La Bilancia” restaurant in the Re Martello hamlet of Loreto Aprutino with a menu inspired by the typical dishes of the “trescatura” (threshing) of a volta

RULES
1) Admitted cars
The rally is reserved for no more than 40 vintage cars owned by Rotarians and members of the Old Motors Club D’Abruzzo and Pescara Corse Veteran Car built before 1970 and in compliance with the Highway Code.
Rotarians are allowed to participate with a limited number of cars built after 1970 of particular historical or collector interest. If the requests to participate exceed 40 units, the oldest cars will be accepted.
2) Individual participation fee
For each participant it is set at € 130.00 (excluding hotel accommodation). Supplement for overnight stay in a hotel € 40.00 in a double room and € 60.00 for a single room. To be paid on the day of the event
3) Invitation to Rotarian members to the gala evening
Members of the three organizing Rotarian clubs are invited to the gala dinner with related charity lottery on 17/9/2011. Cost of the dinner €35.00 per person.
