11th BRITISH CAR MEETING “GRAND TOUR OF LAKE ISEO”

It’s always very pleasant to partake in the British Motor Club rallies: in recent days Simone Chiolo and his team involved me in the Grand Tour of Lake Iseo, a gathering of fifty splendid English cars along the perimeter of the Sebino with a precise food and wine fil rouge.

Starting from the Monastery of San Pietro in Lamosa, we reached the Bergamo side of the lake, with a stop in Riva di Solto, and then returned to Brescia county with a stop in Pisogne where we delighted in Romanino’s frescoes and the subsequent stop in Villa Damioli. Departure towards the south, with a passage on the Vello-Toline cycle-pedestrian path, open for the occasion to our group, and a further stop at the Trattoria Glisenti. The next stage is in the park of Villa Vismara, with the awards ceremony, and the final stop is in Iseo, in the central Piazza Garibaldi.

Each stop corresponded to a tasting of local dishes and wines: a valid way to enhance local food and wine and promote the scenic beauty of the Sebino.
