Saturday 9 November 2024. British Car Meeting “Spiedo di San Martino” at Padernello Castle Also in 2024 the traditional San Martino spit event was renewed with the British Car Meeting “Slow Drive & Slow Food” at Padernello Castle. This event, the result of a ten-year collaboration with President Domenico Pedroni, promotes the valorization of rural villages in a tourist-cultural key. An always pleasant meeting between collectors, with an exhibition of the cars at the foot of the Castle and a guided tour to discover this spectacular manor house which dates back to the 14th century. For lunch, we were hosted in one of the most welcoming rooms, to enjoy the inevitable spit and the traditional “dirty soup”. Franciacorta bubbles are a must at these events, appreciated by all participants. The cars admitted were 30 English cars built before 1980. For the occasion, we decided to participate with our rare 1956 Jaguar XK 140 coupé. Another day spent in the company of passionate friends that we will certainly repeat for the next edition!
